In groups, grantees will discuss their reflections on CNRA data collection, community engagement, methods, and the strategies they used to stay on track during the CNRA process. DAY 2, WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 13, 2023

Telling your Community Story: How to Share Your CNRA Results Effectively 9:00 am – 10:30 am
Erica Roberts,
(Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina),TEI
At the culmination of the CNRA, grantees will be asked to share their findings with ACF, TA providers, and community members during the Year 1 site visit. It’s important that data are shared in a way that: 1) Is understandable to each audience and 2) Conveys the story the team is trying to communicate. In this session, TEI will share best practices for effectively visualizing quantitative and qualitative data to various audiences. Grantees will have time to practice suggested data visualization techniques with mock data. TEI will lead grantees in a discussion on how CNRA data can be used beyond the needs assessment requirement to support their home visiting program.

CNRA Reflections: Going from Data Collection to Data Connection 11:00 am – 12:30 pm
Paul Spicer, University of Oklahoma The session will focus on the process of moving from data collection to telling the story of the community's needs. Participants will be encouraged to engage in a process of reflection on what they learned from their data collection, based on what they came into the process thinking. The CNRA will usually confirm things that the team already thought, but it can also have surprises. It can be challenging to find confidence to interpret data.

The presenter will share his experience working with a grantee on their CNRA reflection. The session will also include a panel of grantees who will discuss their experience with the CNRA and the process of taking ownership of their community data. Participants will have time to work in small groups on issues they have encountered (or that they anticipate) and then come together as a large group to share.
