Kirby opened her first salon when she was just 19 years old and had multiple salons over the years in sought after locations such as Surry Hills, then followed her dreams to L.A. Where she was able to be educated through the top salons.

The 34 year old, is a mother of three and founder /owner of Pélo by Lago, a leading hair salon located in Sydney Australia, which was established in 2020. With a team of hair stylists selected and trained by Kirby, the salon is known for enhancing natural hair; creating low maintenance, lived-in colours and cuts that won’t compromise the health of your hair, only enhance it. Kirby's aim is to give confidence to women via their hair and to create the perfect culture and vibe within the salon, providing a completely tailored experience to each client. 

With a celebrity clientele, Kirby Lago is esteemed for her hair expertise as well as providing a second-to-none luxury salon experience. If that isn’t impressive enough, Kirby's work has also been featured in numerous high-end Australian publications.

In the salon, Piet lives and breathes education and as a KMS Influencer he loves working with the latest creative techniques inspired by shoots, shows and seminars. As a fully booked stylist Piet’s goal is to always enhance the best features of the client in the chair. Through structural layering techniques and paying close attention to face shape, he takes his job, to find every client’s unique angle of beauty seriously.

Piet’s career highlights extend beyond the salon, having worked with world class brands through education, fashion and media. With over 15 years' experience as a hair director, Piet’s passion has seen him create numerous campaign shoots and look books. 

In recent years, Ali has been finalist for NSW Hairdresser of the Year, Emerging Stylist and led her team to many a finalist positions for Salon Team of the Year. The accolade Ali is most proud of, was when she was awarded Business Owner of the Year in 2020.

As a KMS Influencer Ali’s passion lies in education and sharing the understanding of structural layering techniques and learning where to use them. Ali’s strength is in the detail, personalizing every cut to make the most out of your client’s beautiful features.

Shane has judged for the 2018 Goldwell Global Zoom color awards, and in 2017 he was main stage presenter for Goldwell Global Zoom Barcelona. His patience and passion sees Shane supporting many industry events and coaching and mentoring young stylists to reach their true potential.

Shane's accolades include: Finalist Salon Team of the Year 2023 | 6x Australian Hairdresser of the Year | 4x Salon Team of the Year | Hall of Fame Recipient and Masters Award Recipient.

Having been on the floor of the family-owned salon since the Age of 14 and having travelled and trained extensively outside of Australia since then, Alannah was in a unique position when she took over ownership of Ella&Jade. She wanted to both honor the salons long history of community-care, but also push her clients experience further, delivering bespoke, healthy and fashion-forward hair in a luxurious and relaxing space.

Every human, every hair is what Alannah and her team at Ella&Jade are all about. Inclusivity is at the core of everything that she does, this leading the brand to become one of Australia’s first texture inclusive hair hubs. “As a stylist first and foremost, I always wanted to be able to do anybody’s hair that walked through the door. If I didn’t know how, I immediately found somebody to learn from” Alannah’s passion is arming stylists with the fundamental skills and understanding for hair colour, so that no matter the canvas or the hairs texture they’re confident to service the client. This is turn has strengthened the Ella&Jade brand as clients look to Ella&Jade as the team to help them on their hair journey, no matter the texture.

She knows that colour can transform anybody’s look; mastering how to match skin tone, compliment bone structure, creating illusions through adding volume or shrinking shapes, are all elements that she incorporates into her colour work every day. To help someone find their authenticity, their unique colour thumbprint, nothing is more powerful.

Hailing from country Victoria, Chris is striving to take hairdressing to new heights, by sharing his deep love and passion with a new breed of stylist. Spending his time between managing WILLOMINA, creating content for brand partners, photo shoots and even teaching apprentices, Chris is hair obsessed and couldn’t imagine doing anything else.

His soft and sexy approach to hair sees him dealing with celebrities and Sydney's elite on a regular basis, Chris is also a regular on the fashion week circuit both here and abroad.

Bringing her contagious passion for “effortless hot girl hair”, on trend vibes, lived in colours and hands-on content creation. Amanda tailors her classes to best fit each salon that she works with.

International accolades have followed her national success, with Amanda crowned Global Avant Garde Stylist of the year 2023 in Chicago at the Kao Salon Global Creative Awards. A stunning career highlight, Amanda is the first Australian to have ever won this prestigious global award.

With his remarkable back-to-back victories and an ever-growing list of satisfied clients, Nathan is poised to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the hairdressing industry. His wins are a testament to his focus, determination and creative vision both inside and outside his popular and highly regarded Neutral Bay salon- Salon Yazbek.

Growing up in the Inner West of Sydney, Nathan loved getting his hair cut at the local Five Dock salon. When he was offered the role of Saturday boy, he decided it was a big step up from working the checkout at the local Target so ended up spending his weekends during high school sweeping floors, making coffees, chatting to clients and listening to awesome music. His first real taste of his career journey was a salon on the lower North Shore. It was huge, had a great culture, massive team and was the perfect environment to build a clientele and develop his skills. Laser focused on owning his own salon, he headed back to the books with a Diploma in Salon Management at TAFE. 6 months travel around the Middle East followed and left him more inspired than ever to open his own doors. In 2010 a run-down salon on Military Road was a dream project waiting to happen and Salon Yazbek was born.

I would love to welcome you into our salon, with more than half my life dedicated to the hairdressing industry, I am proud to be the name behind the expanding hairdressing empire that is the Tribe Lifestyle Group. Being the founder and owner of four award-winning salons my aim is to continually raise the bar in both salon service and hairdressing excellence.

Alexandra has represented Australia in Las Vegas and Stockholm at Goldwell Global Zoom, as well as many other major shows and events nationally and globally. 

  Larissa represented Australia in Stockholm at Goldwell Global Zoom, following this becoming a co-creator of the Goldwell Elemental Collection and forming part of the jury at Goldwell Global Zoom in Toronto. 

  Alexandra and Larissa believe continual education is an important part of the Mazí culture and the team are always pushing themselves creatively, which is reflected in their many accolades on both a national and international level.

The Lee Preston Artistic Team is made up of individuals that share a passion for hair and education. Each member is encouraged to participate in many activities as they are responsible for the production of photographic collections, participation in educational activities and work alongside leading companies and designers to promote the salon and their work.

This dynamic and diverse team are extremely trend focused, bringing the latest, most fashionable looks to their salon clients and humbly sharing with others that want to learn to be the best at their craft.

Being able to partner with such events has given the team the opportunity to devise and design creations and looks that hold world class recognition, including a feature of their creation 'Mohawk Long Spine Sea Urchin' in the alluring 2019 art publication ‘Eat The Problem’ by Creative Curator Kirsha Kaechele.

As an extremely busy salon, the team work constantly at making the salon brand a great success. This can be shown through accolades such as - Australian Apprentice of the Year 2016, Finalist in Creative Force, TAS/SA Hairdresser Of The Year, Australian New Talent and Hot Shots Best New Talent.

The team have been driven by many creative opportunities such as co-directing Sydney and New York Fashion Weeks and are aligned with many design teams in Perth and Melbourne. Determined to be unique in the market place, the team are focused on more than just doing great hair, the salon is known for exceptional service and attention, such as winning the Top 40 in the world with Customer Service Award.
